Connect Proofpoint ZenGuide to Anzenna

Integrate Anzenna with Proofpoint ZenGuide (formerly Proofpoint Security Awareness Training) to monitor phishing simulation results and training completion across your organization. ZenGuide enables security teams to automate personalized learning paths based on an individual's unique risk profile, behaviors, and role.

What Anzenna Monitors

Once connected, Anzenna pulls the following data from Proofpoint ZenGuide via API:

  • Phishing — Simulated phishing campaign results
  • Phishing Extended — Simulated phishing campaigns with extended details
  • Users — User inventory and profile information

Prerequisites

  • Proofpoint ZenGuide administrator access (required to create API tokens)
  • Anzenna account
  • Your ZenGuide region — identify your region (us, eu, or ap) from your ZenGuide console URL (e.g. https://<hostname>.us-securityeducation.com)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Part 1: Enable Proofpoint ZenGuide in Anzenna

  1. In Anzenna, click the Settings icon and then click Integrations

Part 2: Create an API Token in Proofpoint ZenGuide

  1. Open a new browser tab and log into your ZenGuide platform console with an account that has admin privileges

  1. Navigate to Company Settings in the left sidebar

  1. Click the API Tokens tab, then click + Create Token

  1. In the Create Token prompt, fill in the following fields and click Create:
  • Name — Enter a descriptive name, e.g. API token for Anzenna
  • Permissions — Select the Reporting checkbox
  • Expiration — Select Never expire (recommended). Note: permissions and expiration cannot be changed after the token is generated.

  1. Copy the token immediately by clicking Copy To Clipboard

You won't be able to view the token again after closing this dialog. Save it in a secure location.

Part 3: Complete Setup in Anzenna

  1. Switch back to the Anzenna tab and paste the API token into the Token field
  1. Enter the Base URL for your ZenGuide region. Use the table below to find the correct domain:

  1. Click Save
Paste token, enter Base URL, and click Save in Anzenna

You are all set! Anzenna is now connected to Proofpoint ZenGuide and will begin monitoring your security awareness training data.
