Understanding Enterprise Grid
Organization vs Workspace
Organization - The top-level Enterprise Grid entity
Workspaces - Individual Slack workspaces within the Grid
Deployment Scope
Organization-level install: Anzenna available to all workspaces
Workspace-level install: Anzenna only in specific workspaces
Admin control: Manage which workspaces have access
Troubleshooting
Connection Fails
Authorization errors:
Verify you have Workspace Owner (or Org Owner for Grid) permissions
Check that Slack app installations aren't restricted
Ensure no conflicting DLP tools blocking integration
- Review Slack Admin approval requirements
App Not Visible
Can't find Anzenna in Slack:
- Search in Apps section
Check if installation completed successfully
- Verify you're in the correct workspace
- Try refreshing Slack (Cmd/Ctrl + R)
Check with the user who performed installation
No Data Syncing
File sharing events not appearing:
- Wait 30 minutes for initial sync
- Verify file sharing actually occurred
Check that monitored channels have activity
- Ensure Anzenna has necessary permissions
- Review Slack audit logs for API access
Enterprise Grid Issues
Can't add to additional workspaces:
- Verify Organization Owner role
- Check workspace admin restrictions
- Ensure Grid management permissions
- Review organization app policies
Security Considerations
OAuth 2.0 authentication - Industry standard
Metadata only - Message content not accessed
Granular permissions - Only requests necessary scopes
Revocable - Can be uninstalled anytime
Audit logging - All access logged in Slack
Best Practices
Communicate with users - Inform teams about monitoring
Start with pilot workspace - Test before Grid-wide deployment
Review permissions - Understand what data is accessed
Monitor initial sync - Check for any issues
Regular audits - Review Slack app access quarterly
Document deployment - Record which workspaces have Anzenna
Privacy policy - Ensure compliance with data privacy laws
