Deploy Anzenna Edge Extension via Microsoft Intune

This guide shows you how to deploy the Anzenna browser extension to Microsoft Edge across your organization using Microsoft Intune's Settings Catalog.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Intune administrator access
  • Windows 10 or later devices enrolled in Intune

  • Custom installation URL from Anzenna support

  • Microsoft Edge installed on target devices

  1. Create a Settings Catalog policy in Intune

  2. Configure silent extension installation
  3. Assign the policy to target devices

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Intune Admin Center

  1. Navigate to

    Microsoft Intune admin center

  2. Access the home dashboard

2. Create New Configuration Policy

  1. Click on Devices in the navigation menu
  2. Select Configuration from available options

  3. Click the Create button

  4. Click New Policy to begin policy creation

3. Select Platform and Profile Type

  1. Click on the Platform dropdown menu
  2. Choose Windows 10 and later as your target platform

  3. Click on Profile type to specify configuration type

  4. Select Settings catalog from the profile options

  5. Click Create to proceed with configuration setup

4. Name and Configure Policy

  1. Enter a descriptive policy name:

  2. Click Next to advance to configuration settings

5. Add Extension Settings

  1. Click Configuration settings to access policy details
  2. Click Add settings to begin adding extensions

  3. In the search field, type:

    extension
  4. From the results, select Microsoft Edge > Extensions

  5. Choose Control which extensions are installed silently

  6. Click Close to confirm selection

6. Configure Installation URL

  1. Toggle the setting to Enabled
  2. In the extension list field, paste the Anzenna-supplied installation link

    The link format includes:

    • Extension ID
    • Update URL
    • Configuration parameters

  3. Click Next to proceed

7. Assign Policy to Devices

  1. Under Assignments, select target devices

    Options:

    • Add all devices - Deploy to entire organization
    • Add groups - Deploy to specific device groups
    • Add filters - Use dynamic filters for targeting
  2. Click Next to finalize deployment

8. Review and Create

  1. Review all configuration settings
  2. Click Create to deploy the policy

Automatic Deployment

The extension deploys automatically to all assigned devices during their next Intune policy sync (typically every 8 hours, or on device restart).

Verifying Deployment

Check Extension Installation

  1. On a managed device, open Microsoft Edge
  2. Navigate to:

    edge://extensions
  3. Confirm Anzenna appears in the installed extensions list

  4. Verify it shows "Installed by your organization"

Check Policy Application

  1. Navigate to:

    edge://policy
  2. Search for ExtensionInstallForcelist

  3. Verify the Anzenna extension ID appears in the policy list

  4. Confirm the installation URL matches what you configured

Monitoring Deployment Status

In Intune Admin Center

  1. Go to Devices > Configuration
  2. Click on your Anzenna Browser Extension Policy

  3. View the Device status tab to see:

    • Number of devices with policy applied
    • Success/failure rates
    • Deployment timeline

Generate Reports

  1. Navigate to Reports > Assignment status

  2. Filter by your Anzenna policy

Troubleshooting

Extension Not Installing

Extension doesn't appear after policy sync:
