Role Management
Anzenna uses role-based access control (RBAC) to manage user permissions and ensure appropriate access to security data and platform features.
Available Roles
| Role | Permissions | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to all platform features, including user management, integration configuration, detection rules, and organizational settings. Can invite users, modify security policies, and access all security events. | IT Security leaders, CISO, Security Operations managers |
| Viewer | Access to view all security events, alerts, and investigation tools across the entire organization. Can review all incidents and analyze user behavior, but cannot modify system configurations or manage users. | Security analysts, SOC team members, Executives |
| Limited Viewer | Manager role with restricted access to view security events for themselves and their organizational hierarchy (direct reports and those below them). Cannot see events for peers or those above them in the organization. | Department managers, Team leads |
| User | Standard user access for team members who are monitored by Anzenna. Users appear in the system as part of the organization's security monitoring. | All employees being monitored |
| Provisioner | Specialized role for setting up and configuring integrations. Can connect and manage integrations but cannot view any security events or data. | IT administrators, Integration specialists |
Assigning Roles
When inviting team members, assign roles based on their responsibilities. You can change user roles at any time from the user management settings.
To assign or modify roles:
Navigate to Settings > Access > Team Members
- Select the user you want to modify
Choose the appropriate role from the dropdown
